Xinyu Cable Secures 60.98 km 10 kV Medium-Voltage Cable Project in Jiangsu

Wuxi Xinyu Cable Co., Ltd. has successfully secured Power Cable - 10 kV - Jiangsu Lot 65 under State Grid Corporation of China’s 2026 joint procurement programme for the East China region.

The project owner is State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd. The awarded package covers 22 procurement items with a combined cable length of approximately 60.977 kilometres. The notification of award was officially issued on May 29, 2026.

Focused on 10 kV Medium-Voltage Distribution

As an important component of urban and industrial distribution networks, 10 kV medium-voltage cables transmit electricity between substations, distribution stations, switching stations, industrial parks and major power users.

Unlike low-voltage cables that directly connect distribution facilities with end-use equipment, 10 kV cables form part of the backbone of regional distribution networks. Their operational quality directly affects the safety, stability and continuity of the electricity supply.

Medium-voltage power systems therefore place demanding requirements on cable insulation, structural stability, manufacturing consistency and long-term reliability. This latest award demonstrates Xinyu Cable’s capabilities in the manufacturing, quality control and project delivery of 10 kV medium-voltage power cables.
