Xinyu Cable Signs Contract for Approximately 728.9 km of Building Wires with State Grid Shandong

Wuxi Xinyu Cable Co., Ltd. has signed a building wire procurement contract with State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company Materials Company.

The contract forms part of State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company’s 2026 framework inventory procurement programme for distribution network materials. It will provide wire products for power distribution network development across Shandong Province.

The contract covers 23 building wire items with a combined length of approximately 728,900 metres. The products include BV, BLV, BVVB and RVV wires featuring copper or aluminium conductors and a range of conductor sizes.

The designated delivery locations include Jinan, Qingdao and other areas of Shandong Province. Products will be delivered to warehouses specified by the purchaser in accordance with the contractual requirements.

Connecting Distribution Systems with End-Use Equipment

Building wires are widely used in low-voltage distribution systems. Their primary applications include electrical installations in buildings, distribution facilities, electrical equipment and related power connections.

Different wire types and conductor sizes support a variety of installation methods, electrical loads and operating requirements. Building wires are commonly installed inside buildings, electrical systems and equipment, but their quality directly affects the safety and reliability of the entire downstream distribution system.

The contract includes copper and aluminium conductor wires in multiple configurations, demonstrating the project’s diverse product requirements and the need for dependable large-scale supply.

Shandong is one of China’s  industrial and population centres, with extensive distribution network requirements across its cities, counties and rural areas.

The continuing development of distribution facilities, public infrastructure, residential buildings and commercial and industrial electricity systems is creating higher requirements for the quality and supply reliability of building wires and other essential electrical products.

For this contract, Xinyu Cable will organise production in strict accordance with the applicable technical specifications and contractual requirements.

Quality controls will cover conductor materials, dimensional accuracy, insulation quality, finished-product testing, packaging, transportation and delivery schedules. Dedicated manufacturing and inspection procedures will be applied to different wire types and sizes to ensure consistent quality and accurate specifications.
