This multi-core XLPE insulated unarmored power cable is designed for medium voltage power transmission in protected environments where additional mechanical reinforcement is not required.
By eliminating metallic armour, the cable achieves a more flexible structure while maintaining stable electrical performance through its copper tape screening and XLPE insulation system.
It is suitable for installation in cable ducts, indoor substations, tunnels, and other controlled conditions within medium voltage distribution networks.
Conductors and Core Assembly
The cable uses Class 2 compacted copper conductors produced from plain annealed copper.
Multiple insulated cores are assembled together using PP yarn fillers to maintain a round and stable cable profile, with non-hygroscopic binder tape applied to secure the core assembly.
Insulation and Screening System
Each conductor is covered with an extruded semi-conductive conductor screen, followed by XLPE insulation designed for medium voltage operation.
An extruded semi-conductive insulation screen is applied over the insulation layer to manage electrical stress.
A copper tape metallic screen surrounds the insulated cores, supporting consistent electrical field distribution.
Outer Sheath
A PVC outer sheath, Type ST2, provides environmental protection suitable for unarmored cable installations.
