Multi-Core XLPE Insulated Copper Tape Screen Unarmored Power Cable (18/30kV)

This multi-core XLPE insulated unarmored power cable is designed for medium voltage power distribution systems operating at 18/30(36)kV, where higher electrical stress requires a well-controlled insulation and screening structure.
The cable adopts an assembled multi-core configuration with copper tape screening and XLPE insulation, providing stable electrical performance in protected installation environments without the use of metallic armour.

Multi-Core Assembly and Conductors
Each core is manufactured using a Class 2 compacted copper conductor made from plain annealed copper.
The insulated cores are laid up together with PP yarn fillers and secured by binder tape, supporting dimensional stability and consistent cable geometry.
Insulation and Electrical Stress Control
An extruded semi-conductive conductor screen is applied over each conductor, followed by XLPE insulation designed for operation at higher medium voltage levels.
A semi-conductive insulation screen is extruded over the insulation layer to regulate electrical stress across the cable structure.
Screening and Outer Sheath
A copper tape metallic screen is applied around the assembled cores to assist in electrical field control.
The cable is finished with a PVC outer sheath, Type ST2, providing environmental protection suitable for unarmored installations.
Standard outer sheath colour is black, with alternative colours available upon request.
