CU/XLPE/CTS/PVC/DSTA/PVC
This multi-core medium-voltage power cable is built with XLPE insulation and a copper tape screen, combined with double steel tape armor to enhance radial mechanical strength. The structure is suitable for fixed installations where additional external pressure resistance is required.
Conductor
Class 2 compacted copper conductor, plain annealed, designed to meet IEC 60228 requirements for conductivity and consistency.
Conductor Screen
Extruded semi-conductive compound applied directly over the conductor to stabilize the electrical field.
Insulation
XLPE insulation layer with controlled thickness, providing reliable dielectric performance under medium-voltage operation.
Insulation Screen
Extruded semi-conductive compound bonded to the insulation surface for stress control and electrical uniformity.
Metallic Screen
Copper tape screen applied around each insulated core, enabling effective earthing and fault current dissipation.
Assembled Core
Multi-core assembly filled with PP yarn filler and secured with binder tape to maintain cable geometry.
Inner Sheath
PVC compound serving as bedding and separation between screened cores and armored layer.
Armour
Double Steel Tape Armour (DSTA), providing enhanced resistance to external compression and mechanical impact.
Outer Sheath
PVC outer sheath, Type ST2, offering protection against moisture, abrasion, and environmental exposure.
