18/30(36)kV XLPE Insulated Unarmored Power Cable

This 18/30(36)kV XLPE insulated unarmored power cable is developed for medium voltage transmission systems operating at the upper voltage range, where cables are installed in environments with adequate external mechanical protection.
The cable structure combines compacted copper conductors, high-performance XLPE insulation, and copper tape screening to support stable electrical operation under increased voltage stress without the use of metallic armour.
Single-core and multi-core configurations are available to meet different circuit layouts and system design requirements.

Conductor and Electrical Screening
The conductor is manufactured from plain annealed Class 2 compacted copper, supporting reliable current transmission at elevated medium voltage levels.
An extruded semi-conductive conductor screen is applied directly over the conductor to improve electrical field uniformity.
Insulation System
Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation is applied to withstand the electrical demands associated with 18/30kV operation.
An extruded semi-conductive insulation screen surrounds the insulation layer, contributing to controlled electrical stress performance.
Metallic Screen and Outer Sheath
A copper tape metallic screen is applied over the insulated core to assist in electrical field control.
The outer sheath is manufactured from PVC compound, Type ST2, providing environmental protection suitable for unarmored installations.
The standard outer sheath colour is black, with other colours available upon request.
