This 6/10(12)kV XLPE insulated unarmored power cable is intended for medium voltage power distribution in locations where the cable is not exposed to significant mechanical impact.
The cable adopts a copper conductor with XLPE insulation and copper tape screening, delivering stable electrical performance while maintaining a simpler, lighter structure compared with armored power cables.
Both single-core and multi-core constructions are available, allowing the cable to be adapted to different system layouts and installation practices.
Conductor and Screening
The conductor is manufactured from Class 2 compacted copper using plain annealed material to support consistent electrical conductivity.
A semi-conductive conductor screen is extruded directly over the conductor surface to improve electrical field uniformity.
Insulation System
The conductor is insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), designed to operate reliably under 6/10kV voltage conditions.
An extruded semi-conductive insulation screen is applied over the insulation layer to manage electrical stress within the cable.
Metallic Screen and Sheath
A copper tape metallic screen is applied over the insulated core, contributing to controlled electrical field distribution.
The cable is finished with a PVC outer sheath, Type ST2, providing environmental protection suitable for unarmored installations.
Standard outer sheath colour is black, with alternative colours available upon request.
